With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Edward Gilfilen of Hurricane, West Virginia, who passed away on February 16, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gilfilen and Janice Lou Hodges Gilfilen; and his daughter Shannon Marie Gilfilen. He is survived by: his siblings, Brenda Gilfilen Ginn (Marshall) of Hurricane, Marsha Gilfilen Davis (John) of Hurricane, Verda Gilfilen Myers, Carla Gilfilen Flynn (Jerry) of Eleanor, Brett Gilfilen of Hurricane and Rex Gilfilen of New Haven; and his aunt Linda Hodges Porrera. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
