He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Edward and Rebecca Hundley Persinger; his wife Carolyn; his siblings, Joann Milbee and Sherman Edward Persinger; his granddaughter Jennifer N. Persinger; and his great grandchildren, Adien and Adrianna.
He is survived by: his children, Franklin H., Jr. (Leah) of Rock Hill, SC, David A. (Jamie) of Winfield, Keith E. (Michelle) of Winfield, Dennis L. of Spartanburg, SC, Patrick B. (Sherry) of Rock Hill, SC and Pamela Adams (Shane) of Hurricane; his brother Charles Ray Persinger (Sharon) of Santee, SC; and his grandchildren, Sally Jean, Franklin H., III, David, Jr., Marissa Nichole, Chelsea Marie, Justin Thomas, Kelsey Nicole and Jacob Lee.
