It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Elswick of Hurricane, West Virginia, who passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nash Elswick and Slyvia Elswick; his siblings, Nash Elswick Jr., Robert Elswick and Shelvia Elswick; his son Timothy Knight; his grandson Jason Cunningham; his sons-in-law, Cliff Cunningham and Phillip Stanley; and his mother-in-law Virginia Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Bailey Elswick; and his children, Sherry Minks (Eric) of St. Louis, MO., Joanie Cunningham of Hurricane, Susan Stanley of North Carolina, Frankie Elswick (Patricia) of California and John Nash Elswick (Donna) of Hurricane. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (2837 Main St, Hurricane, WV 25526). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Valley View Memorial Park (2466 Main St, Hurricane, WV 25526).
