It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emogene Freeman of Hurricane, West Virginia, who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eustace Garrett and Mary Pate Garrett; and her siblings, Quentin Garrett, Milford Garrett, Wilford Garrett, Elezine Martin, Elsie Turner and Rena Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Sovine of Hurricane, WV and Gregory Sovine (Peggy) of McKinney, TX; her grandsons, Joshua Sovine (Andrea), Shawn Sovine (Alexandra) of Hurricane and Nicolas Sovine of Nitro; and her stepsons, Dennis Freeman and Keith Freeman (Vicki). She is also survived by 4 Great-Grandchildren.
