He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred Shirkey and Anna Holley Shirkey; and his grandson Cody Sneed. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Shirkey; his daughter Betty G. Haynes (Eddie); his grandchildren, Danielle, Timothy Turley, Wanda Wilson, Carolyn and Walter Shirkey; and his sister-in-law Linda Yates. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
