He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Carpenter and Evelyn Edwards Carpenter. He is survived by: his close friend Willa Spradling of Hurricane; his son Chad David Carpenter; his grandchildren, Jaiden of Hurricane and Bindi of Hurricane; his brother Tim D. Carpenter (Bonnie) of Huntington; and his pet Simba. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
