Cheryl Van Pelt Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Van Pelt of Hurricane, West Virginia, born in State College, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 24, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother Bobby Stocks; and her daughter Alissa Van Pelt. She is survived by: her husband Scott Van Pelt; her children, Shana, Troy and Chad; her siblings, Ginger Swanger (Richard) and Ernie Hampton Jr.; and her close friend Rodney Cecil. She is also survived by five beautiful grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Cookie's name to: Cancer Research, Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W, Charleston WV 25387 or take a friend to lunch and tell them that you LOVE them.
