He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Burdette and Jewel Burdette; and his siblings, Leona Miller, Robert, Davy, Billy, Phillip and Gerald Burdette.
He is survived by: his brothers, Max Burdette of Columbus and Forrest Gene Burdette of Huntington, WV.; his former wife Jessie Burdette; and his son James Burdette.
