She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Walters and Frances Walters; her husband Dr. William E. Johnston; and her brothers, Herbert Walters, Jr. and Robert Walters.

She is survived by: her stepdaughter Olivia; her grandchildren, Joie Johnston and Dr. Jack Johnston (Casey Underwood) of Gainesville, Florida; her great grandchild Adilyn Grace Johnston; her brother Bill Walters (Pat) of Eagle; and her nieces and nephews, Mike Walters of Meridian, Sharon Hurlbut (Dennis) of Hillsboro, Oregon, Rob Walters (Kerry) of Charleston and Pamela Tessnear (Marshall Tessnear) of Blackburg, Virginia..

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (2837 Main St, Hurricane, WV 25526). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
