It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Hatcher of Hurricane, West Virginia, who passed away on September 25, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Hatcher and Dolores Hatcher (Stowers); her son Michael Wood; and her grandson Noah Berry. She is survived by: her children, Wesley A. Wood (Brittany) and Judy L. Paul (Ernest); her grandchildren, Trevor, Cadean, Xavier, Gabriel, Olivia, Jade, Tyler, Justin, Ryan, Chris, Justice, Paul, Sadie and Henry; and her sister Melissa D. Morgan (Donnie). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Melton Mortuary (1200 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center (1200 Harper Rd, Beckley, WV 25801). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jennings and Stowers Cemetery.
