He was predeceased by: his parents, Sallie Florence Hoard and William Arthur Hoard Sr.; his wife Ada France Hoard (King); and his sisters, Lorraine Simmons, Rebecca Rancher, Bessie Adkinson, Mildred Wade and Margueritte Atwell.
He is survived by: his daughters, Toni Paulette Hoard of New York City, NY and Marcia Lynn Williams of Huntington, WV; his granddaughter Kristin Sims (Joe) of Huntington, WV; his great grandchildren, Camille, Amelia and Miles; his grandson Davis Arthur Williams of Savannah, GA; and his great grandchild Kaydence Williams. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
