He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Drown Hanshaw and Frank E. Hanshaw; his brother Frank E. Hanshaw Jr.; and his son Matthew Dewhurst Hanshaw. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Dewhurst Hanshaw; his siblings, Margot Hanshaw Pliml and Charles W. Hanshaw; his daughters, Elizabeth Hanshaw Coleman and Margaret Hanshaw Taylor; his grandchildren, Greta, Matthew, William Coleman, Reece and Eli Taylor; and his sons-in-law, Joe Coleman and Glenn Taylor. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
