Priscilla Leighty Beard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Priscilla Leighty Beard (Huntington, West Virginia), who passed away on December 23, 2024 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Priscilla Leighty Beard to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ryan Leighty and Mae Leighty of South Point, Ohio.; her husband Tom Beard; her daughters, Annie Beard, Jan Beard Smith and Lisa Beard Cooke; and her siblings, Don Leighty, David Leighty, Della Mae Leighty Nelson, Tom Leighty and Sam Leighty.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Gus Cooke (Jeanna) of Clear Brook, VA, Becky McCoy (Jordy) of Rock Hill and Bethany Gonczy (Adam) of Athens, OH; her great grandchildren, Kacie Mendez, Brantley Harrison, Brooklynn Gonczy, Hayden McCoy, Bennett Cooke, Sawyer Harrison and Kyle McCoy; and her siblings, Roberta Leighty McWhorter and Patrick Leighty. She is also survived by sisters-in-law.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Beard Mortuary (3001 3rd Ave, Huntington, WV 25702). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
