She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sr. Layne and Lillie Phillips Layne; her husband James Arthur "Cap" Hatfield; and her siblings, JoAnn Layne Yost, George W. Layne Jr., Don Layne, Leonard Layne and Bill Layne.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Hatfield of Barboursville, WV and Trish Dockus (Kim) of Huntington, WV; her grandchildren, April Parsons (Jerod), Brooke Acord (Anthony), Tyler Sacconi (Kayla) and Holly Phillips (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Parker Acord, Zoey Sacconi, Keegan Sacconi and Julian James Sacconi.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Farmdale Church of Christ.
