With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Lester Barnett of Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away on September 11, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Luster Estell Barnett and Thelma Warn Barnett; his siblings, Paul, Ramona Huff and Rachel Coty; and his former wife Anita Lester Barnett.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Barnett; his daughter Deborah Kelly (John) of Fort Mills, S. C.; his granddaughter Chrissy Liescheidt (Tim) of Charlotte, N. C.; his great grandchildren, Arlynn, Ari, Abbey Liescheidt and Ike Liescheidt; his stepson Robert Jay Osborne (Rhoda) of Powell, Ohio; his stepgranddaughters, Lillian, Katherine and Beatrice Osborne; his grandson Scott Henderson (Evelyn) of Ellicott City, MD; his great grandchildren, Mevie and Quinn Henderson; and his in-laws, Ken Huff, June Lester (Don), Connie Lester (Tom) and Linda Lester (Fred). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
