He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Mayo and Rema Sadie Odell Mayo; and his siblings, Phyllis Mayo, Jerry, Jim and Rusty Mayo.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean Dolen Mayo of Huntington, WV; his son Justin Mayo (Kara) of Huntington, WV; his sisters, Gail Brown of Huntington, WV and Sheena DeBord of Barboursville, WV; and his grandchildren, Mikayla, Brock and Jax Mayo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
