He was predeceased by: his mother Lillian Louise Akens Dyer; and his daughter Sarah Dyer. He is survived by: his children, Joshua Dyer (Ivy) of Huntington, WV, Elizabeth Mullins (Josh) of Clintwood, VA, Lillian Dyer of Huntington, WV and Susanna Dyer of Brighton, TN; his granddaughters, Atheliah Mullins and Arolyn Mullins; his close friend Sandra Church Gollihue; and his cousins, Teresa Walker, Karen McLean, Crystal Liechty and D. J. Russell.
