She was predeceased by: her parents, John Blake and Mildred Lee Chinn Blake; and her brother John "Anthony" Blake. She is survived by: her husband Robert Burke Childers; her children, Jonathan Childers (Mindy) and Megan McDermott (William); her grandchildren, Hartley and Delaney Childers; and her pet Hank. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends.
