It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles William Slover (Huntington, West Virginia), born in Jefferson City, Tennessee, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jo Cochran Slover; his parents, Charles Slover and Jessie Slover; his sister Aileen Ballinger; his son David Slover; and his grandson Shawn Pirri.
He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Chaffins (Robert), Rhonda Barker (Ron) and Kathy Pirri (John); his daughter-in-law Elizabeth Slover; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Darcy, Brad Slover, Mike Chaffins, Kristi Jones, Dr. Tamra Aman, Kevin Simpson, Tiffany Lockhart and Amanda Pirri; and his great grandchildren, Dr. Hannah Andresen, Joe Darcy III, Mark Slover, Emma Slover, Clay Chaffins, McKenzie Chaffins, Ashley Hall, Lake Jones, Cameron Jones, Aiden Simpson, Chloe Simpson, Kylie Simpson, Sarah Aman, Thomas Aman, Joseph Aman, Lily Lockhart and Everly Lockhart.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Locust Grove Baptist Church (2888 WV-75, Huntington, WV 25704).
