It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Calvin Phillips (Huntington, West Virginia), born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on April 27, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Phillips and Creta Summerfield Phillips; and his siblings, William, Dorman, Boyd, Allen Phillips and Clara Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Phillips; his sons, Christopher Phillips (Terrie) of Columbus and Dwayne Phillips (Sonya) of Crown City, Ohio; his grandchildren, Christopher Phillips, Jessica Phillips-Jones and Jaimie Phillips; and his siblings, Kenneth Phillips (Sheila) of Elkins, WV, Anna Ruth Stalnaker (Joe) of Buchanan, WV and Wilma Miller (Bob) of Elkins, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local food pantry to help others in these trying times.
