With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bobbie Lavanso Dotson Jr. (Huntington, West Virginia), who passed away on December 3, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobbie Sr. and Jean Dotson of New York; his brother Michael Dotson of Virginia Beach; his granddaughter Tiffany Dotson; and his sons, Brandon and Lavanso Dotson of Huntington.

He is survived by: his siblings, Teresa Dotson Jemison (Carl) of New York, Tony Dotson of Huntington, Darrell Dotson (Gwendolyn) of Georgia and James Dotson (Janet) of New York; his uncles, Thomas Dodson and Richard Sheffield; his aunt Wanda Lawson of Columbus, Ohio.; his daughters, Querida Dotson of Charleston and Portia Dotson of Huntington; and his grandson Jaylan Dotson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandkids, great grandkids, and cousins.
