She was predeceased by: her parents, Verlin Franklin and Faye Messinger Franklin; her husband Walter Adkins, Jr.; her brothers, Forest Franklin and James "Buddy" Franklin; and her grandson Jason Adkins.
She is survived by: her son Walter "Walt" Adkins, III; her sisters, Peggy Saunders of Huntington, WV and Linda Midkiff (Lanny) of Huntington, WV; and her great grandchildren, Jason Adkins, Jr. and Easton Adkins.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Henson and Kitchen Mortuary and Cremation Services (6357 E Pea Ridge Rd, Huntington, WV 25705). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
