She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Hackney and Harmon Hackney; her siblings, Calvin Hackney and Francis Bryant (Donald E. Ward); her daughters, Judith M. Young and Christina Lynn Ward; her grandchildren, Crystal Gale Hudson and Nathan E. Ward; and her son-in-law Clarence R. Young.
She is survived by: her sister Blondell Young (Ivan) of Mt. Pleasant, TN; her children, Thomas Ward (Jean) of Charleston, WV, Donald Ward (Kim) of Arnold, MD, Pat Ward (Kermit Lanham) of Hugheston, WV, Bobbette Gay (Richard) of Hugheston, WV, Sherri Keeney (Floyd) of Boomer, WV and Christy Whited (John) of Hurricane, WV; and her significant other Nokia. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren (Jacee and Mathew Cox); 2 step great-great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
