He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Bud" Vest and Opal Smith Vest. He is survived by: his stepmother Lucille Vest; his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Vest; his children, David Vest (Maxine) of Justice, Kenneth "Terry Wayne" Vest (Debbie) of Pluto, Barbara McClung of Axton, VA and Sandra Harvey Via (Robert) of Daniels; his grandson Dustin Richmond; his great grandchildren, Ashley Tolley, Landon, Tyler Richmond, Ethan, Austin Vest, Joselyn Harvey, Charlie Vest, Noah and Chloe Bragg; his great great grandchildren, Bentlee Tolley, Kaden Tolley and Lennox Richmond; his half-siblings, Johnny, Joe, Alan Vest, Carolyn Stanley and Joyce Farley; his sister-in-law Josephine "Peewee" Ward; and his close friend Joyce Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Virgil "Sonny" Vest, 90 of Madams Creek went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at his home following a long illness from LB Dementia and Parkinson's Disease.
