He is survived by: his mother Alice Faye Cox Adkins of Hinton; his fiancé Kelly Lankford of Hinton; his children, Shawn Adkins, Jr. of Hinton, Bo Adkins of Hinton and Hope Adkins of Hinton; his stepsons, Adam of Hinton, James of Hinton and Nathan Lankford of Hinton; his brother Randall W. Adkins, Jr. (Tammy) of Waynesboro, VA; his uncle Kenneth Cox of Cool Ridge; and his aunt Patricia Meador of Hinton.
