He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester D. Edwards and Vera M. Meadows Edwards Miller; and his brother Jerry Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Drema Richmond Edwards; his sons, R. Dane Edwards (Sue) of Rustburg, VA, David A. Edwards (Sherri) of Gardner, NC and Daniel B. Edwards (Kristy) of Ashland, VA; his brother George "Sonny" Edwards of Forest Hill, WV; his grandchildren, Tyler (Kate), Corey, Kyle, Casey, Kevin, Joy Edwards and Cara Souders (Jason); and his great grandchildren, Gabriel Edwards and Addy Souders.
