He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Carl Smith and Della Fay Bower Smith; his former wife Dorothy Jean Kessinger Smith; his son Ronald Smith; and his siblings, Annabelle, Arthur, George, Bobby, Noah and Carl Lee.
He is survived by: his sons, Lewis Smith, Jr. (Karen) of Princeton and Donald Smith (Susan) of Sevierville, TN. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
