It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ina Ruth Skidmore of Hinton, West Virginia, who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Rider and Mary Brady Rider; her husband Vern "Babe" Skidmore; her daughter Mary Skidmore; her grandchildren, Sarina Skidmore and Larry Carter; and her brothers, Roy Thorn, Donald and John Rider.
She is survived by: her sons, James Skidmore (Mary Grace) of Covington, VA and Bailey Skidmore of Walton, WV; her sisters, Nina "Lou" Wiseman of Anderson, SC and Eva Karakiozios of Clarksburg, WV; her sister-in-law Ruby Rider of Waynesburg, PA; and her grandchildren, Jeremy J. Skidmore (Marcie), Joseph L. Skidmore (Becky), Corey Carter, Jennifer L. Holestin (Terry) and Starr Carter. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 11 great, great grandchildren.
