She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Basil and Martha Adeline Smith Yancey; her husband Ardus "Art" Schroeder; her siblings, Herbert, Harold Yancey, Helen McEvoy, Vera Johnson, Wilma Surber and Lola Madge Yancey; and her son-in-law Charles "Chuck" Short.
She is survived by: her children, Geoffrey Gardisky of Hollister, MO, Debra Short of Branson West, MO and Patti Abeln (Mike) of Lee's Summit, MO; and her sisters, Janet Lilly (Damon) of Pipestem and Nancy Britt of Eagle Rock, VA..
