She was predeceased by: her parents, Herb Dean and Mary Elizabeth Brock Dean; her husband Hubert Puffenbarger; and her siblings, Leo, Burlan Joe, Ronnie, Larry, Wanda Leverage and Shirley Dean.
She is survived by: her sons, Tom Puffenbarger (Sue) of Marlinton and John Puffenbarger (Karla); her brothers, Johnny Dean (Brenda) of Marlinton, Bobby Wayne Dean (Brenda) of Hillsboro, Eugene K. Dean (Robin) of Hillsboro and Albert Dean (Gail) of Maryland; and her grandsons, Derek Puffenbarger (Rhonda) of Hillsboro, Steven Holmes (Kristie) of Kentucky, David Galford (Kenna) of Oak Hill and Brian Puffenbarger (Rebecca) of Marlinton. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
