It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dennis Melvin Doss of Hillsboro, West Virginia, born in Whitesville, West Virginia, who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Doss and Moncie Doss; and his brothers, Donald "Buster" and William. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Doss; his daughters, Lisa Doss Beverage (Danny Wilfong) of Fredericksburg, VA and Louann McMillion of Hillsboro; his siblings, Evelyn "Mutt" Nelson of Connecticut, Norman (Faye) of West Haven, Fred (Joyce) of Lewisburg and Randy of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Erica Faulknier (Lucas), Daniel Hoke (Keri), Brittany Hoke, Jesse Hoke (Elizabeth), Gabrielle Hoke, Alicia Hoke and Ashley Garretson; his pet Jasper; and his granddaughter Angela Garretson. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Dennis asked for donations to be made to the Pocahontas County Senior Citizens and to the American Cancer Society.
