She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry T. Smithers and Leah Howe Smithers; and her son Chris Hartless. She is survived by: her children, Jack Hartless, Jimmy Hartless, William D. Hartless, Kenny Hartless, Charles Curtis Hartless Jr., David, Altizer Jr. and Rose Hartless. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
