With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ira Shelton Workman of Hico, West Virginia, who passed away on October 20, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Homer Workman and Mamie Workman; his former wife Doris Hope Dutton; his wife Bernice Workman; and his children, Steve Workman Dutton (Jackie), Mary Lego, Candy O'Dell (Laird), Jonathon Wilson (Jessica) and Donnie Wilson. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Wallace & Wallace for the funeral costs of Shelton's brother, William Workman who passed earlier this year.
