Fred DeBord Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred DeBord of Hico, West Virginia, who passed away on July 9, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James DeBord and Mildred Reffitt DeBord; his brothers, Joe DeBord and Jim DeBord; and his nephews, Joey DeBord and David DeBord.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda DeBord; his children, Heather Gifford (Kevin) and Justin DeBord (Melissa); his sister Janice Sexton; his siblings-in-law, Rheta DeBord and Dana Redman; his grandchildren, Sydney Gifford, Sam Gifford and Tommy DeBord; and his nephew Rick Barber.

“In loving memory of Fred DeBord This one hurts a little more. I have such great memories of growing up with Fred. I was his sidekick, partner in crime. We played with our guns, stick ponies, swung on grapevines, and went through high school together. He was my walking partner at graduation. I was so proud of him! RIP Freddie, my cousin and friend. Prayers for Brenda, Heather, Justin and all who love him.”
