She is survived by: her husband Melvin Rye, Sr.; her children, Scottie Rye, Karen of Rock, Calvin Rye, Melvin Rye, Jr., Sandra of Hiawatha, Stephanie Mitchem (Richard) of Springton, Jonathan Rye (Rebecca) of Arista, Eric Rye, Kayla of Princeton, Kristy Rye and Dennis of Arista; and her siblings, Patricia Bailey (Barry) of Hiawatha, James Weise (Glenna) of Hiawatha, Charles Weise (Delilah) of Oakvale and Loyd Weise (Dreama) of Asheboro, NC. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
