He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady Elkins and Dolly Elkins (Adkins); his son Jimmy Dale Elkins; and his siblings, Lloyd Elkins and Phyllis Elkins.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Steven, Cora Elkins, Oley and Esta Adkins; his daughter Tammy (Junior) of Foster, WV.; his grandchildren, Josh Ellis of Claremont, NC and Taylor (Tyler) of Man, WV.; his great grandchildren, Ryver and Weston Blair; and his siblings, Boyde Elkins (Brenda) of Hewett, WV, Curtis Elkins (Carol) of Chapmanville, WV, Michael Elkins of Greenview, WV and Judy Workman (Chester) of Jeffrey, WV. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
