He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Ulbrich and Eva Elizabeth Ulbrich (Price); his wife Sandra Lee Ulbrich (Epling); his siblings, Arbedella Dillon (Ulbrich), Macil Thompson, Sylvia Jeffrey, Harry Ulbrich and Carl Ulbrich; and his parents-in-law, Archie Bert and Nancy Mildred Epling (Fisher).
He is survived by: his children, Ernest Robert Ulbrich Jr. of Chapmanville, Debbie Kay Ulbrich of Charleston, Melanie Goode (Ulbrich) of Charleston and Amanda Marcum (Timothy) of Mud River; his brother Gene Ulbrich (Linda) of Ottawa, WV; his grandchildren, Christopher Cook of Fairmont, WV, Valerie Pickett (Ty) of Foster, WV, Nick Ulbrich (Jessica) of Fairmont, WV, Rachel Moore of Beckley, WV, Laef Marcum of Mud River, Cambrie Marcum of Mud River, Mia Marcum of Mud River and Madelyn Goode of Charleston; his great grandchildren, Oaklee Ulbrich, Reagan Moore, Axel Ulbrich and Remi Moore; and his brother-in-law Paul Epling (Dianne).
