He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jean Anderson Murphy; his children, Terry, Gary Murphy and Sharon Griffy; his parents, Walter Murphy and Margaret Kelly Murphy; and his brother Rayburn Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Murphy of Ashford and Diane Elkins of Hernshaw; and his siblings, Donald Murphy of Newport News, VA, Larry Murphy of Delbarton and Shirley Ann Fields of Williamson, KY. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
According to Bob's wishes, his body has been donated to The WV Human Gift Registry in hopes that it would benefit others.
