He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Lester and Norma Foster Light; and his brother Charles Allen Light. He is survived by: his children, James L. Light II (Angel) of Ashford, Robert Allen Light of Hernshaw and Lindsey Light (Kendall Moore) of Charleston; his sisters, Judith Meixner (Derald) of Medford, MN, Nancy Nicholas of Oak Hill, Rosemary Ross of Archdale, NC and Beverly Jane Campbell of Oak Hill; and his grandson Josiah James "J. J.".
Due to the recent rise in COVID-19 infections the family requests that everyone in attendance wear a mask.
