He is survived by: his children, Chris Holstein (Jodie) of Nitro, Donnie Holstein of Hernshaw, Ronnie Holstein of St. Albans and Polly Ann Holstein of Hernshaw; his grandchildren, Brooks Ann, Rachel, Austin, Brady, Kage, Anson and Alden; his great grandchildren, Kesha and Aviana; and his siblings, Marty Holstein (Sissy) of Hernshaw, Barry Holstein (Norma) of Hernshaw, Jerry Holstein of Hernshaw, Kay Kirk of Hernshaw, Joann Bentley of Boone County, Shirley Holstein of Texas and Ethel Johnson.
