She was predeceased by: her parents, James Orville Whaley and Hazel Maude Ancell Whaley; and her husband Garlan Smith. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Torivio (Patrick) of New Mexico, Michael Smith (Priscilla) of Rock Hill, SC and Cindy Kordela (Tom) of Elkton, MD; her sister Sharon Harris; and her close friends, Norma Shepherd and Heather Seibol. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
