It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shelvia Jean Mahoney of Hedgesville, West Virginia, who passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard William Butts and Dorothy Bageant Butts; her former husband Ted Brown; her husband John Mahoney; her granddaughter Amy Andrews; her great grandchild Elizabeth Jenkins; and her siblings, Mike Butts, Sam Butts, Donald Butts, Nellie Wood and Ethelene Whitley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Abby Heare (Rob), Beth Manning (Randy) and Diane Mahoney; her grandchildren, Andrew, Kyle Heare, Breanne Hicks, Brandon Andrews, Morgan Manning, Jacob and Conner Long; her siblings, Mary Shawyer, Judy Fox, Lucy Grimes and Charlie Butts; and her pet Scruffy. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and 6 great great-grandchildren.
