He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Sherman and Shurleigh D. Allmon Sherman; and his brothers, Jimmy, Dennis and Bob Sherman.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Knott Sherman; his children, Kathy Sherman (Monica), Stacey McFarland (Jim) and Michael Sherman (Shanda); his stepchildren, Cassandra Edwards (Dennis) and Matt Grove; and his grandchildren, Logan, Jared, Mackenzie, Haylee, Patrick and Peyton.
