He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Swope and Esther Margaret Currens Swope; and his grandson Bradley South. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Bowers Swope; his stepchildren, Donald South (Julie) and Wendy Hoover; and his grandchildren, Nick Thamez, Tara Ann Hoover, TJ Hoover, Holly Ann Vanderburg (Justin), Dylan South (Cassandra), Hailey South, Braxtyn South and Zayne South.
