With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ilene Smith of Hedgesville, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 7, 2024 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ilene Smith to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William L. Palmer and Barbara Elliott Palmer; her husband Wayne Smith; her son Wayne Smith Jr.; and her sisters, Lorraine and Faye.

She is survived by : her children, Carol (Dewey), Brenda, Jerry, Kathy (Jason), Kevin and Diane; and her sister Barbara (Ben). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren; lots of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home (327 W King St, Martinsburg, WV 25401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
