He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Poole and Lora Jane Poole; and his siblings, John Poole, Douglas Poole, David Poole, Kathleen Laing and Frances Raymond.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Poole; his sons, Randall Poole and Donald Poole, Jr. (Lorie); his grandson Donald Poole, III of Hedgesville; his sister Dolly Houck (Clarence) of Cherry Run, WV; and his friends, Victor Silver and Tinna Conner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
