He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Mayes and Lorraine Anderson Mayes. He is survived by: his wife Susann Rowe Mayes; his children, Bryan Mayes (Sue), Sheila Washburn (Jim) and Catherine Hubbard (William); and his sister-in-law Kathleen Bryant. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
