He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin and Lona Smith (Denver); his former wife Lucille Workman; his grandparents, Carter Workman, Isabelle Browning, Bige Workman and Fannie Vance; his parents-in-law, Boyd and Nora Carter; his sons, Bo Workman and Craig Workman; and his siblings, Carter Smith, Willie Workman, Cleveland Workman, Mac Smith, Freeland Workman, Wilda Horton, Alfreda Thompson, Vereda Wiley, Dorothy Stiltner, Sue Snyder, Reba Holt, Faye Nichols, Phyllis White, Fannie, Donna and Juanita.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Workman; his children, Marsha Emery (Billy), Missi Morgan (Joey), Kelli Bryant (Jimmy), Jenna Heise (DeeJay), Mike Workman (Angie) and Jimmy Workman (Shirley); his siblings, Genevieve Butcher (Dicky), Marie Lusk (Jay), Benny Smith (Ellen) and Melvin Workman Jr.; his grandchildren, Bianca, Jimmy Lee, Timmy, MacKenzie, Eric, Kaelyn, Isabella, Connor, Isaac, Owen, Kaden, Jaquin and Amelia; and his great grandchildren, Casen of Kyndahyl, EJ, Alexis and Aubree. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
