He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Perry and Beulah Mae Smith (Hardbarger); his wife Ellen Lorraine Smith (Pierce); his daughter Mary Ellen Smith; his grandson Joseph Ashley; his great grandchild Haley Ashley; his daughter-in-law Kathryn Smith; and his brothers, Howard and Roma Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Dallas Franklin Smith, Jr. (Terrie) of Rossville, GA, Vicki Earlene Matics (Andrew) of Spencer, WV, Alfred Andrew Smith of West Chester, OH and Aaron Glenn Smith of Harrisville, WV; and his nephew Roma Jr. Smith of Liberty, WV. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
