He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Smith and Doris Harrison Smith; and his siblings, Diane Whaley and Danny Smith. He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his sons, Shannon Smith (Marie) and Slade Smith; and his siblings, Penny Sue Dahlke (Brad), Emily Smith and David Smith. He is also survived by several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
